Palmer's Field and the Southward Triangle

At the southern end of the village with gardens, open fields and the bourne adjacent to it Palmer's field makes a lovely site to stroll around and take in all that is around us.  Southward Triangle is a short hike up the hill but there is a peaceful spot to sit and listen to the birds using the open scrub.  There is also a badger sett just up the hill.
Palmer's field has numerus pyramidal orchids as well as several bee orchids and it is well worth looking for these in June.
Already a very popular walking spot for locals there are plans to develop these fields to create an even more usable space for villagers.  These plans include reserving space for nature and your can find out more, and have your chance to shape the use of this space, at the link below.
