The next Four Barrows Sunday morning walk is on Sunday 7th December and leaves at 7.58am from outside Court House (just a little bit up the hill from the Blue Boar). All welcome.
12.11.25 - Great news for our verges - the Parish Council have voted strongly in favour of continuing the patches of uncut verge - area of uncut grass in arable villages like ours have been shown to support 93% more butterflies than areas without long grass. Make sure you enjoy these verges this spring and summer!
October 2025 - while many Barn Owl workers across the country had low success rates with poor vole numbers reported we had good success with multiple breeding success and one double brood. 10 babies ringed and several adults caught - including one ringed as a chick 11km away in Ashbury 3 years ago .
We continue to expand our barn owl nest box network and aim to add kestrel boxes for 2026.
